Help Us

There are three ways to help the Syracuse – Wawasee make history come alive for the next generation and remember the past: Donate your money; Donate historical items, Donate your time.

Financially we rely on donations from individuals, businesses, family trusts, people remembering us in their wills to keep our doors open and staff the actual museum and provide the many events and programs that we host.

Our curated items have all been donated from people just like you that had historically significant items that they wanted to share with the entire community. It could be mementos of past events or places that were significant to the people or the formation of our community, or collections that they or a relative had that have roots in the Syracuse -Wawasee area.

Many of us have skills, hobbies or even professions that are culturally significant. We have many programs for both children and adults that need specialists or interested persons that can speak on a subject with knowledge. Everything from beekeeping to Victorian architecture to Military uniforms to antique boats. If you are an expert, or even a hobbyist in a field that you think we might be interested, please let us know! we might build a program around your and other’s knowledge, skills and interests for others to learn from.
